I THINK ABOUT MYSELF AS CREATIVE BY HEART AND MARKETER BY CHOICE.
Looking back in time I now see that there’s always been an entrepreneur and creative in me and that I’ve always liked creating marketing, I just didn’t know I was doing it.
It was until I finished my Business Program in Fashion that I realized I wanted to focus my career in Marketing, and not only in the fashion industry but in every industry that had a product or service to sell and promote. This awareness was the start of many core understandings and it played a key role in my thought processing when thinking of business as a whole.
I am a creative individual - designing comes almost naturally to me but building my way into the marketing world is a path I created for myself based on one question that I constantly find myself asking when I see something that I like or that seems interesting to me:
How do I get everyone to know about it and like it?
This is the one question that started the passion that I call my career. Wanting to communicate good products is what keeps me engaged in this field.
The most amazing aspect that I find about marketing is that its fundamental concept has been there for centuries, but as technology and consumers change the way marketing principles are applied changes as well. It is such a refreshing feeling when I can constantly improve myself, whether it is learning a new tool or a whole new channel.
Before starting a new campaign or content piece I constantly stop to think like a customer, this is a key element that oftentimes is overlooked by procedures, design and whatnot. There's a lot to be said about great marketing campaigns, typically it is not only about a great strategy, but the ability to connect with customers as a human and start conversations.
